| An Elite Signature Member of Watercolor Art Society, Jody has exhibited in Peoria, Illinois, and Savage Gallery in Casey, Illinois. After a hiatus with brief intervals of work, she returned to painting in 1998. Studying at College of the Mainland in Texas and workshops with artists such as Stephen Quillar, Sarah Kitigawa, John Salminen, Carla O’Connor, Cheng Khee Chee and Judy Morris has increased her knowledge and improved her work. “It is a pleasure to work with other artists and adapt their teachings to further develop my work.” |

In July 2010, Jody will have two works “ It’s Still a Cage” and “Ulingus” published in the Splash 11 book of watercolors. This is her second publication the first was In April of 2003. Her works, “Donald D.” and “The Pack” were winning entries in the cover contest and were published in Living Artists Magazine. Jody’s work has been juried into various Regional, National, Online and International Shows by renowned artists as Chen Khee Chee, Paul Jackson, Stephen Quillar, Daniel Green, John Salminen, Dean Mitchell, Don Getz, Carla O’Connor and others. She is also is a member of several Art Societies, AWS, SWS, WAS-H, Old Forge, and Watercolor West to name a few.
Jody opened Easels Gallery in 2003 to provide a place for local Texas artists to gather and work together. The gallery offered workshops, areas for artists to work, critique sessions, National Exhibits, and of course exhibition space. The Arts Alliance Center Nassau Bay, Texas is where Jody gave lessons in Watercolor painting. Closing the gallery, she moved in 2008 to Illinois and is participating in the Crawford County Arts Exhibit and is a member of the Palestine Art Guild as well as the Palestine Development Association. Jody is Chairman of the Monthly Exhibitions at the Art Center. |
